The Port Autonome de Nouadhibou (PAN), a public industrial and commercial establishment, is located at 20° 54' latitude North and 17° 03' longitude West, on the edge of a bay naturally protected from the swells of the Atlantic Ocean. It enjoys exceptional natural conditions (calm water, low tidal range, stable bottoms and great natural depths in some places). It is a high-potential port platform.
