Cerema Eau, mer et fleuves is one of the 3 technical departments of Cerema that pilots and coordinates Cerema's activities on:
- Integrated management of coastal territories (observation, coastline management …)
-Renewable marine energies (potential studies, impacts...)
- Water and Environment, Aquatic Environments, Resource Management
- Hydraulic risks (floods, submersions...)
- Maritime safety (traffic studies, telecommunications, satellite observation and drones...)
- Maritime and fluvial transport (logistics, tracking...)
- Maritime and river infrastructures (asset management, development ...)
It develops and facilitates partnerships at national and international levels, and coordinates the development and implementation of programs on behalf of the French Ministry of Ecology and local communities.
It is a resource center producing methodological publications and an animation center for local communities and professionals animation site acknowledged for its research, engineering and knowledge sharing skills.
