The Safe and Climate Resilient Ports (SAFARI)project is a European project under the Horizon Europe 2021–2027 research program. It involves various types of partners (port authorities, universities, associations, companies, etc.).

Committed for more than 30 years to the sustainable development of port areas, AIVP has chosen to partner with the European SAFARI project, as it is fully aligned with its strategic priorities. SAFARI aims to improve ports’ resilience to the growing impacts of climate change, in particular by developing a tool for managing extreme weather conditions in collaboration with ports and key partners such as urban communities and cities.
Participation in the project allows the AIVP to take concrete action on the challenges faced by the five member ports in its network. Through this project, the Association is strengthening its expertise alongside engineers, resilient planning specialists, and port sector professionals, focusing on key topics.
By actively participating in the project, AIVP has seized the opportunity to strengthen its commitment to more sustainable, innovative, and resilient port cities while making its expertise available to partners (benchmarking, mobilizing its member network, webinars).
