City of Saint John and Port Saint John co-sign the Agenda 2030 by AIVP

Saint John, CANADA - June 6th 2024 On June the 6th, during the 2024 edition of the Port Days, the Municipality and the Port Authority of Saint John (Canada) jointly ratified the Agenda 2030 by AIVP, demonstrating their cooperation for a sustainable port-city relationship. Both institutions have launched projects encouraging a healthy interaction, such as the Container Village, waterfront redevelopment operations and several open dialogues with the citizens. According to Dr. José M P Sánchez, Director of the Agenda 2030 by AIVP, AIVP is proud of the clear and strong engagement of the port and city of Saint John with their Agenda 2030: “AIVP launched its Agenda 2030 to facilitate this dialogue between cities and ports and indicate a roadmap for sustainable port-city relationships, aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals in the local context.
