Mersin International Port Management (MIP), established in partnership with Akfen Holding and PSA International, took over TCDD Mersin Port Management on May 11, 2007 for 36 years.
Mersin International Port (MIP), of which the Australian Fund Company IFM joined among its shareholders in 2017, serves Türkiye's industrialized cities such as Ankara, Gaziantep, Kayseri, Kahramanmaraş, Konya and bordering countries such as Syria, Iraq and the Commonwealth of Independent States countries, railway and It is connected by road. It is one of the main container ports in the Mediterranean Region, with its transit and hinterland connections with the Middle East and the Black Sea.
It meets a significant portion of Turkey's export & import volume with its wide hinterland, easy transportation facilities and trained human resources. MIP is Turkey's largest port with the total amount of container cargo handled annually and its existing back yard.
