:Located in the Amazon basin between Brazil and Suriname, GPM-Guyane is the only European commercial port in South America, and is comprised of two sites, Dégrad-des-cannes (Rémire-Montjoly) and Pariacabo (Kourou).
The Port’s role in the country’s economy is more crucial than ever, with over 90% of goods traffic passing through its installations.
GPM-Guyane continues to develop its local and regional role as part of the Guiana Shield (Guyana-Suriname - French Guiana - Northern Brazil) whilst working to establish a circular economy.
