The AIVP is proud to present its final contribution to the European-funded project Connected River. The project will officially end in December 2026. It is an initiative that brought together public authorities, cities, ports and specialised partners from the North Sea Region to improve the management of shared waterways and waterfronts. Faced with growing pressure on rivers, canals and waterfronts, the project proposed a collaborative, user-centric approach to respond more effectively to challenges of safety, accessibility and liveability in these territories.<\/p>\n
The document sets out the implementation process and results of Connected River, implemented between 2023 and 2026 across six pilot areas in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Denmark, Germany and Sweden. Through the Flow Forward approach, its unique methodology, the project has mobilised local stakeholder ecosystems, developed agile innovation processes and accelerated the uptake of digital and smart solutions to improve services for users.<\/p>\n
