The project aims to restore the old docks to welcome passenger and recreational vessels. By extending the new Zamalanda Urban Park, this restoration marks a second phase in the revitalization of the area. It also comes with the construction of a pedestrian and cycling bridge connecting Barakaldo to Erandio and should be completed by summer 2026. The initiative is part of an agreement between the Port Authority, Barakaldo City Council.
