This committee has three main goals: to establish continuous communication with the community, to improve the way port projects are implemented, and to gather suggestions from all different groups. Additionally, the port of Quebec enacted the <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.portquebec.ca\/en\/were-committed\/we-work-together\/environmental-citizen-participation-process-ecpp\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Environmental Citizen Participation Process (ECPP)<\/span><\/a><\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\"> to structure the citizen consultation process regarding major development projects, such as the creation of a new cruise terminal or new unloading facilities. The three main goals of the ECPP are: to gain social recognition for exemplary territorial management, to continuously improve the environmental performance of the port, and to develop a positive relationship with the port-city community. Recognising the importance of community input, the Port of Quebec has established this platform to foster meaningful dialogue and collaboration between the port and the local community. Through these initiatives, the port facilitates meaningful dialogue and collaboration between stakeholders, ensuring transparency, inclusivity, and the integration of community input into decision-making processes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The Environmental Citizen Participation Process (ECPP) undertaken by the Port of Qu&eacute;bec exemplifies its commitment to collaborative environmental management. Through this initiative, the port engages with citizens and stakeholders in decision-making processes related to projects that may impact the environment. The ECPP ensures transparent and inclusive dialogue, enabling the sharing of information, concerns, and insights from various perspectives. By involving the community, including residents and local organisations, the port aims to foster a better understanding of projects, address potential concerns, and integrate valuable input into planning and implementation.
