The idea was initiated in 2013 when the municipal council and port authority formed the <\/span><span lang=\"EN\">Integration Committee for City-Port Territories<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">. In 2019, the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.valenciaport.com\/en\/the-port-of-valencia-allocates-230000-square-meters-for-citizen-use-in-front-of-the-natzaret-district\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Special Plan for the South Zone 1 of the Port of Valencia<\/a>, or Natzaret East Plan, was developed, and it is part of a 230,000 square metres area that the Port of Valencia made available for the city. The site will have green public spaces and sports facilities.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">This Spatial Plan for Nazaret includes:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The creation of an 86,296 m2 park at the mouth of the T&uacute;ria with the development of a section of the old T&uacute;ria canal (Area 1)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">An 18,454.04 m2 area dedicated to tertiary and multi-functional use and integrated into the urban part of Natzaret (Area 2)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">A 98,940.17 m2 space dedicated to sports and free use (Area 3)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Incorporating a 2,246 m2 area&nbsp;managed by the City Council of Valencia through a concession for a youth centre, popular university and Orchard Museum in the old Marblau spa (Area 4)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The South Natzaret Park with 8,375.86 m2 (Area 5)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">A green corridor connecting the mouth of the T&uacute;ria with the green corridor that currently exists in the Logistics Activities Zone. With a pedestrian path and a cycle route, it will ensure continuity between the green corridor to the north-east of Nazaret and other maritime towns.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">In 2023, the Levante U.D. (Valencia&rsquo;s football team)<a href=\"https:\/\/www.valenciaport.com\/en\/aurelio-martinez-the-natzaret-plan-is-one-of-the-most-important-interactions-between-a-port-and-a-city-that-have-been-carried-out-in-spain\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&nbsp;received authorisation<\/a> to locate its sports city in the area.
