Formalization of a MoU with the Ministry of Ports and Airports of Brazil
From Porto Alegre to Fortaleza, from Rio to Santos, Belem or Manaus, Brazilian port cities, whether maritime or river, play a crucial role in the growth and development of the country. Beyond their role as commercial centers, they are the embodiment of a country's identity and their names resonate in many countries around the world. It is therefore a source of great pride for AIVP to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Brazilian Ministry of Ports and Airports and our association. Mr. Silvio Costa Filho, Brazilian Minister of Ports and Airports, and Mr. Edouard Philippe, President of AIVP and Mayor of Le Havre, have initialled this document, which opens up great prospects for cooperation around AIVP's 2030 Agenda for the sustainable port city, just as Brazil is set to host the Climate COP at the end of the year.
