One year after the launch, in Venice (Italy), of the first edition of the AIVP Prize Antoine Rufenacht, and 1 month and a half after the 6 finalist candidates were auditioned, Geraldine Knatz, co-chairwoman alongside Carola Hein, shared the Grand Jury’s conclusions on behalf of the official Prize Ceremony held in Lisbon (Portugal) on November 27.
The Development Company for the Reconversion of Tangier City Port area (SAPT SA) was awarded for the Tangier City Port Area Reconversion, becoming the 1st winner of the AIVP Prize Antoine Rufenacht. “This project stands out for its innovative character and large-scale intervention. It contributes to the sustainable transformation of the city of Tangier into a dynamic tourist destination, while preserving its heritage and port identity”.
Geraldine Knatz also announced that the Redevelopment of Javel Bas Port presented by HAROPA PORT deserved a Special Mention; The Grand Jury emphasized that this project harmoniously combines concrete production, storage, and goods handling activities, with a public promenade along the Seine River, thus contributing to a mix of uses and greater port-city integration.
