Driven by boldness and the desire to meet new people, two women, Julie and Bénédicte, hitchhiked from Le Havre to Lisbon to attend the 19th World Conference on Cities and Ports. Their route along the Atlantic took them to Lorient, Saint-Nazaire, Bassens, Bilbao, Santander, Gijón, A Coruña, Porto and Lisbon.
Each stop was an immersion in the soul of the ports, thanks to the hospitality of the citizens who hosted them and shared their stories. Together, they evoked life in these cities, between local pride and contemporary challenges. This trip, supported by AIVP, was not just a journey from one port city to another, but a vibrant human adventure, full of warmth and exchange.
