One of the Brazilian government’s priorities for COP30 and Agenda 2030 is the decarbonization of the transport sector. AIVP has been cooperating with the Ports Secretariat of the Ministry of Ports and Airports to share good practices from the network and the work of the members. On Thursday, October 10th, AIVP organized a new webinar focusing on the EU Green Deal projects Magpie and Pioneers, involving several members and AIVP itself. This time, the speakers were Mr. Reyer Will, representing the Port of Rotterdam and Magpie Consortium, Ms. Inge De Wolf, representing the Port of Antwerp and Pioneers Consortium, as well as Dr. Flavia Nico Vasconcelos, representing the Ministry and Dr. José M P Sánchez, representing AIVP. In the webinar, the Brazilian Port Ecosystem learned about the different demos being deployed in the ports of Rotterdam and Antwerp and their potential impact on the decarbonization of port operations and the maritime system. The scale and complexity of both projects make them a great reference for the Brazilian Ministry.
The webinar gathered more than 100 participants online and is available in the Ministry’s YouTube channel: Ministério de Portos e Aeroportos – YouTube
