Are all objectives worth the same? / How are the questions graded?

Yes, all objectives and questions are worth the same amount. The exception to this rule consists in a dozen questions that have been chosen by the AIVP team to have a higher coefficient in the calculations as they were deemed key questions that represent the Agenda 2030’s aims.

I have saved my answers. Why are the results not yet shown?

The results will only be shown once a goal or the entire year has been validated. However, once a goal or the year has been validated, the user can no longer make any modifications to either the specific goal that has been validated or to the entire questionnaire, if the year has been validated.

What is the purpose of the associated readings?

The associated readings next to certain questions are AIVP good practices and articles that provide the user with additional ideas on how to address the problem evoked in the question or that help to showcase examples of the different steps mentioned in the suggested answers. This allows the self-assessment to serve as a pedagogic and strategy developments.

What is the difference between the red, blue, and green colour codes? / What is the difference between saving and validating an objective?

Red: The goal has not yet been started.

Blue: The user has started answering questions and saved them. The user can choose to save their answers and come back to them at a later point in time.

Green: The goal has been validated. Once a user is certain that they have answered all the questions of a goal fully and have checked with their colleagues, they can validate the goal. Once a goal is validated, the colour of the goal will turn green. Once validated, the user will not be able to modify their answers for the current year of the questionnaire any more. The results for the goal will also appear in the Results section at this point. Once the user has validated all the goals, they can also validate the year to finalise the questionnaire for the ongoing year.

Can I obtain a PDF version of the self-assessment tool?

Where can I find the questions for the self-assessment?

The graded questions of the self-assessment can be found in the Goals section. By selecting a goal and then one of the subgoals, you will find the questions linked to that specific subject.

Does the structure section need to be completed before answering the questionnaire?

The first few questions of the Structure section will be asked to you during your first log in. These have to be answered in order to access the rest of the platform. However, there is no obligation to answer the other Structure questions prior to the self-assessment. It is strongly recommended though.

Is the “Structure” section graded or will it influence the results of the questionnaire?

The “Structure” section is not graded and only needs to be completed once. It can be updated if necessary. There is no direct influence on the results, but will allow the AIVP to better understand correlations between your answers and your results. It may also help us to see if there are overarching trends between similar entities in our network. It will help AIVP develop better and more relevant studies and content. Should each of my colleagues create their own account?

We recommend that all colleagues from one entity use the same account. This will allow colleagues to collaborate on the same questionnaire. We cannot combine two questionnaires’ answers from different accounts.

Where can I obtain my username and password?

If you are already in the AIVP database and have access to the AIVP website with your email address, you simply need to update your password on the AIVP website through the following steps: here. You can then use the same email address and password to login to the Self-assessment tool.

Who can use the self-assessment tool?

The self-assessment tool of the Agenda 2030 by AIVP is reserved for AIVP members only. The versions of the tool are designed for maritime ports, river ports, and port cities.
