The Port Autonome de San Pedro (PASP), located in the Southwest of Cote d’Ivoire, is the second port of the country. It consists of fishing port, a commercial port, and is specialized in the exports of wood and cocoa. The construction of the Port of San Pedro was part of the program initiated in the 1960s by the Ivorian Government to : - Reduce regional disparities by creating a development pole in the Southwest of Cote d’Ivoire; - Serve as transit port for neighboring landlocked countries (Mali, Guinea, and Liberia).
