The 3rd Co-design & co-creation Event of the EU-funded project # PULSE, titled “Formulating & Processing the Port-Cluster Landscape: Strategies Brainstorming” took place in Genoa (Italy), on October 3rd-4th, 2024. This international seminar, the final one of the PULSE project, was based on debate and exchanges between different disciplines and between academia and institutional bodies on the topic of extended port cluster territories. Specifically, the event aimed to reflect on strategies and approaches, implemented or being implemented, for the contemporary design of the port clusters, the main topic of the project led by Dr. Beatrice Moretti.

AIVP has supported the PULSE Project providing information and advice and introducing the lead researcher, Dr. Beatrice Moretti, to several members of the network, relevant to the scope of the research. The final PULSE Event included the keynote speeches by AIVP’s Director of the Agenda 2030, Dr. Ing. José Sánchez, and Prof. Jeffrey S Nesbit (Tyler School of Art and Architecture, Temple University). Other highlighted speakers included Marc-Antoine Faure and Cesar Ducruet (Université Paris Nanterre), Tiziana Murgia, (Assoporti – key supporter of the project), Stefanos Antoniadis (FA.ULisboa), Gaia Daldanise (CNR IRISS, RETE), Benedetta Ettorre (UNI Vanvitelli, RETE), Francesca Morucci (North Tyrrhenian Port Network Authority) and Matteo Vianello (IUAV, UniGe).

The project will conclude in 2024 with a final publication. Dr Moretti will present the main conclusions of the research in the forthcoming World Conference Cities and Ports, that will take place in Lisbon next 27-30th of November.
